Summer’16 released a critical feature of “Metadata Relationship Fields“ in Custom Metadata Types. Now we can create relationships between Metadata types. Or even a Metadata type can be related with Entity definitions i.e., standard objects or custom objects. Beautiful !
But the 5 standard objects that are currently supported are Account, Case, Contact, Lead and Opportunity. And most importantly – User object is missing! This is a very key aspect. This will help in storing Owners in custom metadata settings and many other things. I was looking to store Account owners in custom metadata settings, but in vain!
It would be great if User object is also included in the standard objects that are supported by this feature. Hence, I created an Idea in Idea Exchange so Salesforce can bring this up as well.
