Salesforce Technical Architect Certification Update

Background:  During Dreamforce 2015, Salesforce has announced New Developer Certifications and it also “secretly” announced that it will split the Salesforce Technical Architect Certification into 3 categories:

  • Technical Architect
  • Domain Architect
  • Domain Specialist

Technical Architects (Existing) would demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to build and design high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform across all domains.

Domain Architect (coming soon) certification spans multiple roles, and recognizes broad and deep architecture expertise across a number of domains.

Domain Specialist (New) would be a specialist in a specific domain.  Salesforce then mentioned there would be 9 such domains:

  • Development Lifecycle and Deployment
  • Integration Architecture
  • Data Architecture and Management
