Misty Jones has been awarded with MVP status by Salesforce in September 2017 for her outstanding contribution to Salesforce community in sharing knowledge, leadership skills, and showing creativity within the Salesforce Community. Here is her journey to MVP status in her own words!
Brief Intro about yourself? What do you do?
I am a solo admin at Mutual of Omaha Bank. I’ve done everything from an implementation to merging orgs together to end user training.
How do you feel being a new MVP?
Mostly surprised, but also thankful and grateful for this opportunity and honor.
What was your motivation to become a MVP? Insipration?
Primary mentor would be Eric Dreshfield, but I never had a “goal” to become an MVP. I do what I do because it is fun for me. For me, it is about the people first and the platform second. I enjoy connecting with the people of this ecosystem and bringing more people in to the ohana. But, it also gives me great joy and purpose when I can help others find their path to learn Salesforce.
Message for future MVP aspirants?
There’s no secret sauce to becoming an MVP. Be uniquely you. If you’d like to give back to the community, do so in a way that excites you. Share your story. Share your knowledge. Encourage others to do the same. Lift others.
